Donald Trump vs King Henry VIII

The US election gave us all pause for thought. At the very least it prompted a collective intake of breath. Whether you’re on the political right or the left, in many cases your rection was ‘OMG, what are we in for?’
History can sometimes offer a mirror through which we can better understand today. We’re picking King Henry VIII of England as our historical comparator. Donald Trump has some striking, indeed worrying, similarities in character and style with this Tudor monarch, famous for his tumultuous reign. 

The profound consequences of Henry’s rule are clearly set out in the history books (and numerous films). Should we expect something similar from Trump 2.0?
