Change is an inevitable and constant force in today's dynamic business environment. And transformational change - change that prompts a fundamental shift to how an organisation operates - is widespread. Whether triggered by technological change, employee transformation, market shifts, or global events, organisations are being forced to fundamentally transform how they operate. In order to remain relevant and competitive, companies of all sizes need to become ever more adept at leading and navigating major change.

Given this context, a context that we all face, the effective leadership of transformational change is now the linchpin for sustainable success. But the paradox is that transformational change leadership isn’t about ‘the leader’, or even the change or programme leader. And it’s not about the change team either. What we’ve learned is that transforming an organisation requires a blend of skills, capabilities and practices that thread through an organisation top to bottom, from senior leaders, through top teams to the shop floor. These capabilities build diverse teams and adaptive cultures, inoculate the organisation against rapid change and disruption and act to increase both agility and resilience over time.

Our research paper describes our full method. Contact us to discuss how to better build these capabilities within your own organisation.
