Jamie Conrad

Jamie is a UCT graduate, having done a Bachelor of Arts in History and Industrial Sociology. He is also currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management through UNISA. Since starting his degree at UCT, he has held several positions in various industries. These industries include the fast-moving consumer goods industry where he worked for Duracell, corporate communications where he worked for Corporate Image as well and the hospitality industry where he worked as a front-of-house service agent for Snowshoe Mountain, a large ski resort in West Virginia, USA. Jamie has also had the opportunity to do job shadows for some time in the wine-making industry and with a private equity firm. Jamie has experience running small projects as an intern for the various firms he has worked at as well as being able to be a part of a huge rebranding effort of a major South African bank. More recently, Jamie, as an operations manager, has been a crucial member of the project team that developed, opened and managed a photovoltaic (PV) solar training academy in Richards Bay. His duties range from the design and conceptualisation of the Academy to procurement and day-to-day operations.
